April 2026. Spring is here.
Castle craft has had a busy couple of months. We have made a start on our regular workshops at Nibbles Cafe in Okehampton, many thanks to Nibbles for letting us have the space and the time. Our get togethers happen while the cafe is open so anyone can pop in for a cup of tea and a nosey over our shoulders to see what happens at a Castle Craft workshop. If you are staying longer, Castle Craft recommends the Brie and Bacon roll. Dates and times are on our calendar here on the web site and also on the Facebook page (see our contacts section on this website). We are hosting other Workshops around the area, again, dates and times on the calendar. There has been a lot of research over the past few years into the befits of crafting for mental health. See this article in County Living (opens a new tab) for a neat breakdown some of the ways crafting can contribute to your wellbeing. A Castle Craft Felting workshop ticks all the boxes identified in the article; the therapeutic effect of the repetitive action, the self-esteem boost from creating your own piece of art, develops concentration, and is a place to share with others.

As well as the workshops we are currently working through the logistics of attending Craft Fairs and events. We will add them to the calendar as we fill in the gaps. Let us know if there is a craft event near you that you think Castle Crafts could take part in, we are pretty much self contained as far as indoor, or at lease covered, events are concerned.
