Castle-Craft

Pictures, Sculpted figures, and gifts made from wool using traditional needle felting and wet felting techniques.

Welcome to Castle-Crafts.  We are based in Mid Devon, on the edge of Dartmoor.  We use natural sheeps wool to create our pictures, characters and sculptures, which we show, and sell at craft fairs and arts shows around Devon.

We also run workshops where small groups of felters, of any or no experience, can get together, be guided through the felting process and go home with their own felted character, sculpture or picture.

We are not yet set up for online sales, too busy felting, which is much more enjoyable than creating inventory lists. We offer Castle Craft creations at Craft Shows and Arts fairs around Devon.

We do have a couple of outlets where the owners/proprietors display and sell Castle Craft items.

Nibbles is more than a cafe, it is a genuine community resource, offering more than great coffee and snacks. There are often guest events happening. Nibbles has been deservedly complimented on both the good food and friendly service. Click on the link to see more. Thanks to all at Nibbles for displaying Castle Craft felt art at their lovely venue.

Castle Craft sets up its stall at Arts and Craft Fairs all over Devon and neighbouring counties.

This could be a charity fundraiser in a village hall or a tent at a steam rally or County show, or a local fair in a barn that is empty between harvest and lambing.

Here is our calendar for the events planned so far. Some may be marked as TBA while we are still finalising the details, but, if that is an event that interests you, you can always email us to ask how the planning is progressing

Castle Craft

Needle felt art is a delightful crafting technique that involves using a barbed needle to interlock wool fibres, creating stunning three-dimensional sculptures and intricate designs. Artists can transform raw fleece into charming figures, creatures, pictures, or abstract pieces with just a few simple tools and an abundance of creativity. Using this method of felting seasoned crafters may experiment with various textures and colours, making each creation unique.
